H2R Velocity

If you look through the collection of Happy Hounds production females sired by Snowmass Velvet Touche, Snowmass Scarlet Velvet stands at the top. Scarlet was handpicked by Julie Skinner during their retirement sale to be at the forefront of our foundation females. Simply put, she is beautiful in every way! When crossed with H2R Valerian in 2020, she added H2R Velocity to the pack. Velocity is a 14x banner winner, including Best Bred & Owned at the 2024 Futurity show and stands in the ranks as the light replacement for his decorated sire at Happy Hounds.

In music, Velocity is the force with which a note is played. Happy Hounds would like to thank Lisa and Dave Morrison for striking the key and acquiring half ownership in H2R Velocity for Rockstar Alpacas. Lisa had her eye on him since he was a juvie and we are thrilled that she was able to watch him win the White Huacaya Male Color Championship at the 2024 California Classic as a mature male, in what is most likely his last show appearance.

We look forward to the direction H2R Velocity will lead both programs. Velo has his first 6 cria on the ground - all female, all are big, strong, great super fine, and uniform!!!
